Economic Vitality Corporation Receives Grant from PG&E

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA – The Economic Vitality Corporation of San Luis Obispo County (EVC) is pleased to announce that it has received a $25,000 grant from Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) to support the EVC’s efforts to help create a stronger regional economy. Now in its 23rd year as the only non-profit countywide economic development organization, the grant helps support the EVC’s countywide Economic Strategy Project and other resources to analyze the local economy, and help business start and expand businesses to create jobs. By bridging government and business, the EVC helps create solutions in a region with a high cost of living and a lack of head-of-household jobs.

Airport to "SEA" New Service: Alaska Air Begin Nonstop Flights to Seattle in April 2017

Amid cheers and applause, the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport revealed that Alaska Airlines will commence nonstop service between San Luis Obispo (SBP) and Seattle (SEA) next spring. This is a new destination on a new airline, and a major victory for the airport and the County of San Luis Obispo.
