SLOCATA
The SLO County Airport has an annual economic impact of more than $176M and 1,758 jobs.The EVC and the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce joined forces to help the airport retain and attract airline service by forming the SLO County Air Transportation Alliance (SLOCATA). SLOCATA is comprised of a group of business leaders who understand the importance of a vital local airport.
Working closely with airport management, the Alliance is also advocating for making certain infrastructure improvements at the airport and working together to help expand existing commercial air service. The EVC commissioned an air market study to provide information and strategies necessary to create more vitality at the airport.
