Michael E. Manchak, President & Chief Executive Officer
Mike served as the project manager for Cal Poly's California Central Coast Research Partnership (C3RP). Prior to that he was Vice President of Business Development at ATW; Managing Partner of Terranalysis Corporation; and Construction Finance Analyst for Chase Manhattan Corporation. He has a business degree from the University of Southern California and is on the Board of Directors of SOFTEC (The Central Coast Software & Technology Association); Workforce Investment Board of San Luis Obispo County; Community Advisory Council for the Cal Poly's Orfalea College of Business; Cal Poly College of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council; Cuesta College Business Advisory Committee; CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children); Paso Robles Economic Task Force; UCSB Economic Forecast Project; and Vice-Chair of the California Space Authority.

Dave Mooklar, Loan Administrator
Dave Mooklar is a retired banking executive with over thirty years of experience in direct small business lending and currently serves as a small business counselor for the Cuesta College Small Business Development Center. His responsibilities were in the retail and wholesale portion of the bank and included business development and loan portfolio management. The last ten years of his banking career was spent as the Manager of the First Interstate Bank in San Luis Obispo.

Patrick Mayeda, Special Projects Manager
A San Luis Obispo local, Pat Mayeda is a co-founder of Productive Impact, LLC, a company that assists companies in the preparation of feasibility studies, business plans, and economic impact studies for large-scale projects. Mr. Mayeda has previous employment as a Senior Engineering Manager for NEC Electronics, where he gained valuable experience in project concept development, including the preparation of operation images and feasibility studies for the G-line project, a $1.5 billion wafer fabrication facility. He holds an MBA and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly. He currently is an Advisory Group member for the California Space Center, Discovery Institute for the Advancement of Science and Technology Education, and the Jack House Committee.

Colleen Sweeney, Special Projects Intern
Colleen grew up in San Luis Obispo County. She received her undergraduate degree from Cal Poly in political science with a concentration in international affairs and is currently pursuing a Public Policy graduate degree at the university. This is her second year interning for the EVC.

June Parent, Project Assistant
June is originally from Washington State and new to the Central Coast, which she finds both beautiful and an incredible growth opportunity. She comes to the EVC transitioning out of the medical research compliance and regulatory work and bringing with her an array of constructive administrative skills, analytical talent, and a curious mind. June eventually hopes to complete her Bachelors of Science (B.Sc.) at Cal Poly.
