Michael Manchak
President & CEO
Currently President and CEO of the Economic Vitality Corporation, a regional economic development organization. Manchak previously served as the project manager for California Central Coast Research Partnership; Vice President of Business Development at ATW Alternative Technologies, Inc.; Managing Partner of Terranalysis Corporation; and Construction Finance Analyst for Chase Manhattan Corporation. He has a business degree from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business.

Dave Mooklar
Loan Administrator
Dave Mooklar is a retired banking executive with over thirty years of experience in direct small business lending. His responsibilities were in the retail and wholesale portion of the bank and included business development and loan portfolio management. The last ten years of his banking career was spent as the Manager of the First Interstate Bank in San Luis Obispo.

Christine Rogers
Program Manager
Christine began her career in Orange County, California, working with Landmark Companies, LLC in the development of low-income tax-credit senior apartment communities, single family housing developments, and high-rise hotels. She has worked in the planning and development of a number of environmentally sensitive projects, and is knowledgeable about resource conservation. She has received an accreditation as a LEED AP, and is a driving force in promoting sustainable education and energy efficiency throughout the County.

Kaila Anderson
Program Coordinator
Kaila Anderson is currently working as the program coordinator for the EVC. She graduated from Cal Poly in the spring of 2010 with a degree in business marketing and a minor in economics.

Pat Mayeda
Project Specialist
Patrick Mayeda is the Managing Principal for Productive Impact LLC, a company that specializes in performing economic impact studies and assisting Central Coast businesses with their business plans by focusing on the validity of their business models and financial projections. A San Luis Obispo local, Mr. Mayeda supports all EVC’s efforts for angel network and entrepreneurship development and education. Previously, he was a senior engineering manager for a large semiconductor manufacturing facility where he gained extensive engineering and management experience. Mr. Mayeda holds an MBA and a BSME from Cal Poly.

Colleen Sweeney
Project Intern
Colleen Sweeney is currently a marketing representative at Cardiomark LLC, where she works with hospital clients to improve their marketing efforts and reach out to at risk populations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public policy from Cal Poly.
